Front Handle Came Off!

Decided to try for some perch in Lake Erie and took the Frontier and trolling motor. I had to cross about 20yds of beach and soon realized the wheels on my cart are not big enough. The Frontier was balanced well without too much of a load but when I was halfway to the water one of the ropes pulled out of the handle. I tied it in a knot and carried on when the other one popped out and I was on my a** in the sand Embarassed Of course this was in front of a bunch of spectators interested in this neat kayak. Not a happy camper Cry. On the bright side the electric motor worked well and the Frontier handled some 2ft swells no problem. Didn’t catch any perch though. TC

The front handle (plastic part) will come apart and you can re tie the knot inside before putting it back together. It has happened to me with another brand kayak, they mostly use the same style handles.

Hey, trky what part of lake erie you fishing? I am from Toledo and fish up along the lake.

I’m on the north side Laugh, fishing Long Point Bay. I got the handle fixed, I put a couple of small washers in place so it will take quite a bit for them to come out now!. TC
