Favorite NuCanoe Activity:
Slipping up and down the river catching fish when no one else is. I have developed a method of shallow trolling for trout that is putting lots of fish in the boat. My second favorite activity is customizing the boats. I am working on a project now with Marine Repair Center to design and build a mount for a wireless trolling motor that will not require any holes to be drilled in the boat.

Why did you choose NuCanoe?
I was tired of hunting and fishing out of kayaks. I was finding them more and more difficult to get out of. It was hard for me to get to my gear and everything always ended up wet. I rolled my last kayak while breaking ice with it to go duck hunting last December. The water froze to the inside bottom of the boat before I got to the marsh. That is when I decided I was going to have something else, and quick. I have worked in the past as an after market boat product designer. I have worked for several inventors taking their product from an idea to production. As soon as I saw my first picture of a NuCanoe, I knew it was a winner.

Master Customizer
I like the versatility of the boat the best. My boat is customized and tweaked to the max. I like to experiment and see what kind of setups I can come up with. I have installed a trolling motor, custom 12 v power supply box, custom seat and mount, custom camouflage, rod savers, rod holders, a bilge pump, bow eye,…shall I go on?

Showing Off!
I take a great deal of pleasure in putting the NuCanoe on the river and catching fish in front of the guys standing on the bank not catching anything but a cold. The fishermen are always amazed when they see me trolling or moving upstream against the current with a little short shaft trolling motor.
